Modern Ranch Reno: Master Bedroom Sources

I have shared my master bedroom before when I shared how I did my accent wall. You can find that post HERE. I also shared a part of my master bedroom when I revealed my Joybird couch HERE. Although I have shared the few bedroom I still have not shared where everything for my room is from and I wanted to share where everything is from today. Before My master bedroom started out with dated wallpaper and dated lighting, fans and some old school curtains. Removing this wallpaper was seriously soooo awful. I will be sharing a full post on how to remove wallpaper very soon so stay tune for that later. Master Bedroom Bed My master bedroom has gone through a few transformation. When I was designing my master bedroom I started with the bed. I found this bed on Overstock  I fell in love with it. The canopy bed was the perfect style that I wanted in my room and I love the brass. Mallory has almost the same bed but it is a little bit different. You can see her master bedroom reveal HERE. Throw Pillows and King- Size Duvet My pillows are a collection from all […]…

  • My Everyday Makeup Routine

Well, this is a super vulnerable post but since you guys asked for it, here it is, my everyday makeup routine. I am in no way, shape or form a makeup artist, beautician or even very knowledgable on the subject. That being said, I’m a normal girl/mom that loves playing with makeup and enjoy getting dolled up! I do feel that when I take the time to do my makeup in the morning, it gives me a little confidence boost to go about my day. That might sound silly but it definitely makes me feel better and feel much more put together. My everyday makeup routine is super, super chill. So easy. Nothing crazy but I do see great results. Before we get started, I will say, I get eyelash extensions which I feel are pretty dramatic (I love dramatic lashes!) so I don’t wear a ton of eye makeup. This is mostly just a product list for those who’ve asked and I’ve tried a ton of products that I’ve seen on tv, in magazines, on blogs, YouTube tutorials, etc.…

  • Modern Ranch Reno: Backyard Plans

Super excited to share our backyard landscape ideas with you. I am so lucky that I have a crazy talented Dad. He owns a landscaping company called D&B Landscaping here in Mesa, AZ and he did a beautiful design for us. Before we start with a plan take a look at what we were dealing with. As I started my backyard I started by writing down all my backyard landscape ideas. Before/Move in day You can see our full Before pictures when we bought the house HERE This is what the backyard looked liked when we moved in. It was beyond overgrown. I can’t even believe that we could see past it all. I like to think that I have vision but this was so crazy! First, thing we had to do was clear everything out so that we could really see what we were dealing with. We hired some help and the poor guy was stung by several scorpions, several different times. Poor guys. Creating a Game Plan After everything was cleared out we walked the backyard several different…

  • Modern Ranch Reno: New Front Door and Hardware

My front door was in need of a major makeover. At my last house I had a Schlage key pad lock and I loved it. When I say love it I mean LOVE IT! I could never ever go back to a keyed entry front door lock.  There is something very convenient about having a keyless entry. It’s so nice for friends and family that may need to get into my house. It is so nice when I have to carry in loads from the car and my 5 year old can unlock the front door for me. Then to top it all off this hardware that I used on my front is connected to an app on my phone and it sends me a message every time that my door is locked and unlocked. It gives me such a peace of mind. The second I moved into my new house I knew that it was one of the first things that I wanted to add to the new house. I wanted/needed a new front door to go along with…

  • Our Favorite Rugs under $200

Our favorite cheap rugs are something that we have wanted to share with you. Area rugs can change the entire look of a space. First of all we love rugs because if you don’t spend a ton of money on them you can change out your rugs often which is really fun. It can total make a space feel brand new. Although we do love a good expensive rug, changing a rug is just a easy change that we like to do when we are wanting to change up a room a bit. So these are a few of the rugs that we already have in our personal houses. We love all of these rugs and all of them are less then $200. Also, most of these rugs we have in at least an 8x 10 rug. Our Favorite Cheap Rugs Although the picture above is a small 4×4 rug, I have recently switched it out. Now I have the 6×6 rug and I love it so much more. And you can see more of this space HERE. Round 6′…

  • Easy DIY Sharpie Wall Tutorial

I am finally writing up this Sharpie wall tutorial for you guys! I drug my feet for months because I didn’t take process photos (bad blogger!) so I’m going to show you on the wall already completed and do a lot of explaining in the process. I promise, it’s so so so sooooooo easy! Materials: Sharpie Paint Pen (I used gold in medium tip) Level Pencil Ladder or step-stool (depending on ceiling height) Level: Beginner Time: 1-4 hours (depending on size of wall) First, I started from the bottom and measured and marked (with a pencil – lightly!) every 12″ both vertically and horizontally. Then, using a the straight edge of the level, I drew a giant grid of 12″ squares on the entire wall with a pencil. I started at the bottom left corner and worked my way up then over to the right. I did this because I don’t care if there is a halfsie or less square at the top but I didn’t want the bottom one to get cut off if I had started at the top.…

This post is sponsored by JOANN. All opinions and ideas are our own. Now that the holiday decor is all put away I am ready to ring in the new year. New Years is one of my favorite celebrations to decorate for. I love the traditional colors scheme of gold, black and silver. • How to clean and prepare for a new baby: Clorox

This post is sponsored by Clorox. All opinions are my own. Our sweet baby is here! Our fifth baby boy was born just a couple weeks ago and I’m so excited to share with you how I cleaned and prepared our home before his arrival. Cleaning is actually a hobby of mine so I was really excited to use some of my favorite Clorox products with the intention and purpose of preparing for my sweet little boy’s arrival. Cleaning is often thought of as a chore but I love that cleaning makes me feel like my home is prepared for whatever events or experiences are about to be had. A clean and tidy home gives me so much peace of mind and helps me feel motivated and productive each day. *use as directed To prepare for our new little guy to join our family and our home, I used Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster Liquid to wash “hand-me-down” baby blankets and clothing from siblings. I even washed new clothing and blankets that I received at my baby shower.…
